Essential Parts for a Complete Turbine Rebuild

  • Focus on O-rings & Washers:

“Changing the bearings is only half the job. Worn O-rings and flattened Wavy Washers are the leading cause of premature bearing failure and vibration. We recommend replacing these low-cost components every time you rebuild a turbine. Our high-temp Viton O-rings and spring-tempered washers ensure correct axial preload and vibration dampening.”

  • Focus on Proper Tools:

“Using pliers to open a back cap is a recipe for disaster. Our precision-machined Back Cap Keys are designed to fit the specific slots of KaVo, NSK, and W&H turbines, preventing scratches and damage to the head housing. Professional Bearing Removal Tools ensure you don’t bend the delicate spindle during disassembly.”

Not sure which tools fits your handpiece?

Don’t guess. Send us a photo of your turbine or the old bearing. Our technicians will identify the correct ISO part number for you within 1 hour.

FAQ for Dental Handpiece Repair Tools

Do I really need a special key to open my handpiece back cap?

Yes. Handpiece back caps are torqued tightly and made of soft brass or aluminum. Using generic pliers will deform the cap, making it impossible to seal properly. Our Brand-Specific Keys engage the slots perfectly to apply torque without damage.

If your turbine rattles or has axial play (moves up and down) even with new bearings, the wavy washers have likely lost their spring tension. Washers should be curved, not flat. We advise installing new Wavy Washers with every bearing change to maintain the correct preload.

Yes. If your bearings are fine but the turbine has lost power, the impeller blades might be damaged. We stock balanced replacement Impellers for popular models. However, pressing a new impeller onto an old spindle requires a precision press tool to ensure it runs true.

Absolutely. We use high-grade Viton (FKM) or Silicone O-rings that are rated for temperatures up to 200°C. They will not crack or melt during standard autoclave cycles, ensuring a long-lasting seal for air and water lines.
