FAQ for Dabi Atlante Dental Bearings

Can I upgrade my old Dabi Friction Grip (FG) turbine to ceramic bearings?

Yes, absolutely. Many older Dabi models came with steel bearings. Upgrading to our Ceramic Bearing Kit is the best way to extend the life of these robust handpieces. Ceramic balls are harder and lighter, creating less heat and friction, which is perfect for older spindles.

Yes. Dabi Atlante has maintained consistent bearing specifications across most of their high-speed lines, including the newer Push-Button (PB) models. Our SR144TLK kit fits the vast majority of Dabi rotors. If you have a specific newer model, feel free to send us a photo to confirm.

Noise in Dabi handpieces is almost always caused by radial play in the bearings or worn O-rings. Replacing the old bearings with our Balanced Ceramic Kit and installing new O-rings (which act as vibration dampers) will typically solve the noise issue immediately.

Yes. All our dental bearings utilize high-temperature resistant cages (Torlon/Phenolic) and grease capable of withstanding standard autoclave cycles of 134°C (273°F). Proper lubrication before sterilization is key to longevity.
