Optimized for Lares High-Speed Turbines

  • Focus on Lightweight & Speed:

“Lares Research handpieces are famous for their lightweight titanium bodies and exceptionally high cutting speeds. To match this performance, our replacement bearings are built with Grade 3 Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) balls. These lightweight ceramic balls reduce the centrifugal load on the outer race, allowing the turbine to spin freely at maximum RPM without generating excess heat.”

  • Focus on Chuck Compatibility:

“Whether you have the Push-Button (CX/SX) or the classic Friction Grip chuck, our bearings are designed to provide stable radial support. We use precision-machined Phenolic cages to ensure smooth operation, protecting the Lares autochuck mechanism from vibration-induced wear.”

FAQ for Lares Dental Bearings

What is the difference between bearings for Lares 557 and 757?

In most cases, both the 557 Turbo and 757 Workhorse utilize the same industry-standard bearing size (SR144: 3.175mm x 6.35mm x 2.78mm). The difference lies in the turbine head size and torque, but the bearing interface is identical. Our SR144TLK Ceramic Kit fits both models perfectly.

Yes. The swivel mechanism is located in the coupler or the back of the handpiece, but the turbine rotor itself uses standard bearings. Our replacement kits are fully compatible with the ProStyle and ProStyle SF series rotors.

A high-pitched whine usually indicates that the bearing retainers are worn out or the lubrication has failed. Lares turbines spin at very high speeds, so bearing wear can happen faster if not lubricated properly. Installing a fresh set of our Ceramic Bearings will restore the quiet, smooth operation.

We focus on supplying high-quality bearings and O-rings. For Lares turbines, the chuck is often integrated into the spindle. If your chuck is slipping (bur falls out), you may need a complete rotor rebuild. However, if the bur holds fine but the turbine is noisy, replacing just the bearings is the most cost-effective repair.
